NFL Power Rankings (10/27/09)

nfl

1. Saints – This team was just playing around against Miami in the first half. They just wanted to test out their ability to come back.

2. Colts – Another week, and another win for Peyton’s guys. They make it look too easy sometimes.

3. Broncos – Will the bye week disrupt this team’s flow? We shall find out in Baltimore on Sunday.

4. Patriots – The Brady Bunch is looking great right now. Keep in mind they have played winless teams in the last two weeks.

5. Steelers – They look like they are in a groove right now. Beating the previously undefeated Vikings is big for their confidence.

6. Vikings – If you had to lose to somebody, why not the defending champs? This team will be just fine moving forward.

7. Bengals – Carson Palmer, Cedric Benson, and Chad Ochocinco, are looking like a great ”Big Three” in Cincy.

8. Falcons – They had a slip-up against Big D, but this team is still one of the best in the NFC.

9. Packers – I realize that this team has had a relatively easy schedule, but their defense has been superb lately.

10. Cardinals – The Cards are in first place in the NFC West after a great win in the Meadowlands against the Giants.

11. Giants – That’s back to back losses for the Giants. How legitimate is this team after all?

12. Eagles – A pivotal game against the Giants should determine the direction that this team is going in.

13. Cowboys – Wonderful win against Atlanta. Miles Austin is looking like the best receiver in football right now.

14. Ravens – They got the undefeated Broncos up next. We will learn a lot about this team from that game.

15. Jets – Great game for Shonn Greene. Too bad it was against a highschool team, and it doesn’t really count.

16. Texans – The Texans are on their first streak of the season with a 2-game winning streak. Congratulations Houston!

17. Dolphins – Ricky Ticky got back at his former team with a 3 TD performance. I am sure he would have rathered a W.

18. Chargers – So they blew out the Chiefs. Who cares?

19. 49ers – This team is still young, and they have a lot to learn. How about Alex Smith starting against Indy this week?

20. Bears – This team was simply embarrassed against the Bengals. At least they have the Browns coming to town next.

21. Seahawks – Big game coming up for Seattle in the new Cowboys’ Stadium.

22. Jaguars – After a bye week, the Jags get their rematch with winless Tennessee.

23. Bills – The Bills are a Leodis McKelvin fumble away from being in first place right now. Crazy how one play can mean so much.

24. Panthers – Jake Delhomme got very familiar with Jairus Byrd in the loss to Buffalo. Yes, I said loss to Buffalo.

25. Titans – I heard Jeff Fisher was parading around in Tom Brady apparel during the bye week.

26. Lions – The Lions had their second favorite week of this season with a bye. They get the Rams next.

27. Raiders – How do they follow up their big win against Philly? With a 38-0 loss to the recently struggling Jets.

28. Chiefs – Did you see that touchdown grab by Dwayne Bowe? That’s the only highlight they will have for a long time.

29. Redskins – The offensive coordinator can only do so much for this team.

30. Browns – 4 offensive touchdowns in 7 games is atrocious. Tom Brady had 5 in one quarter last week.

31. Bucanneers – Put another one in the loss column for the Yucks.

32. Rams – Through 7 games, this team is averaging 8.6 ppg, and their best player has no touchdowns. Ouch.
