There is going to be a lot of noise surrounding the Cleveland Cavaliers and their 0-2 start. Everyone is going to say that LeBron needs more pieces around him, and he cannot do it on his own. For the most part, I believe that they are correct.
Getting an aging Shaquille O’Neal and an aging Anthony Parker during the offseason might help this team a little bit this season, but it is not what LeBron and the Cavs fans had in mind. This team needs another player that can create on his own -and no, Mo Williams does not count- so that they can spread out defenses and make opposing teams pay for double teams.
What they need is that slasher that can get to the hoop as half as hard as LeBron does. Until they get a player like that, the Cavs will remain as one of the better teams, but they will not be an elite team. Too many teams improved in the offseason, and I do not think that the Cavs kept up effectively enough with the others.
LeBron James is too good of a player to deal with a bad circumstance, and I am sure if things do continue as they have early on, there are going to be changes made. Whether that means that LeBron leaves Cleveland, or it means that the Cavs pick somebody of significance up, things will definitely change in Cleveland for the Cavs soon enough.
The Cavs are just hoping that this change will be one that helps their team.
