The Blazers and Nuggets had a great battle last night, that could have ended in a Blazers victory if Greg Oden just made 2 free throws. However, down by one point, Oden missed a pair at the charity stripe and his Blazers ended up losing 97-94. Oden’s misses made me realize that most big men have trouble shooting free throws. In my opinion, it is either their oversized frames that have trouble shooting a ball that is too small for them, or they are learning the behavior from big men before them. In the picture below, Greg Oden is taking pictures of one of the league’s worst all-time free throw shooters Shaquille O’Neal. I understand that Shaq is a great guy to model your game around, but for free throw shooting? C’mon Son!
