Recently, Hines Ward of the Pittsburgh Steelers was voted the ”Dirtiest Player in The NFL.” Whether it’s his blindside hits, his chop blocks, or his aggressive blocking style, Hines Ward always makes his presence felt on the football field. The most surprising thing about the award going to Ward is that he is a wide receiver. When you think of the dirtiest players in the game in the annals of the NFL, you would usually think of a defensive player. Defensive players are required to tackle and play the game in a dirtier manner than offensive players, and they are generally more feared by their opponents in comparison to offensive players. So, when an offensive player receives this award, it is a testament to how hard he plays the game. Below is a picture of Hines Ward being his dirty old self in a garbage can. And that’s not any old garbage can. That is actually the garbage can of Oscar the Grouch. Ward is so dirty that he actually beat up Oscar just to get into that dirt-filled mess.
