Coming into the season, the Houston Rockets did not know what to expect of their team with the injuries to their two ”franchise” players, Yao Ming and Tracy McGrady. But just as in seasons past, the Rockets have seemed to be unphased without their team’s best players. So far, the Rockets are 4-2, including a one-point overtime loss to the Lakers, and they are showing no signs of weakness. They have every intention of contending for a playoff spot, and if things can continue, they might just do that. Below is a picture of Rockets’ Head Coach Rick Adelman playing poker. He is holding 5 rags, but his opponents would never know it. He is going to play those 5 cards to the best of his ability, and he has no thoughts of folding. He is going to play his hand out as far as he can. Sure Adelman would love to be holding two more aces, but he will do just fine without them.
