The Suns are On Fire!

Through 8 games in the NBA season, the hottest and most surprising team in the league is undoubtedly the Phoenix Suns. So far, the Suns have shown that they are still a team to be feared in the league, especially on the offensive side of the ball where Phoenix has put up at least 100 points in every game. Their ability to score is largely linked to Steve Nash who is still a force to be reckoned with, as he was the oldest player to ever record a 20-20 last night against the 76ers. As long as Nash remains healthy and on top of his game, the Suns will continue to be a hard team to beat. All of the pieces surrounding Nash also deserve a lot of credit, as they are fitting perfectly with the style that Nash likes to run. Also, the team unity that has become evident through media fiend, Jared Dudley, is something that is very positive. That unity, plus the obvious talent that this team possesses, could be the reasons why this team does not begin to collapse as the season progresses.

Below is a picture of the Phoenix Suns’ starting five and Head Coach Alvin Gentry surrounded by fire. If this team continues in the direction that they have been going, that fire will only burn longer and hotter. Does this team have what it takes to keep the fire from going out? With the pieces they have, I believe that they do. As long as they stay focused, and that includes you Grant Hill (see picture), they should be able to handle most of the tasks that lie ahead of them this season.
