Maurice Jones Drew’s Knee Hurts

After there was much controversy surrounding Maurice Jones Drew’s decision to take a knee at the one-yard line against the Jets this past Sunday, MJD was asked about his choice, and if he felt bad that he cost many fantasy players a win. Even though you feel like you might have been one of the only people who got royally screwed by MJD’s knee, you are not. It is estimated that about 10,000 people lost a fantasy game this past weekend because of the infamous ”MJD Knee.”

Surprisingly, among the estimated 10,000 people who lost, Jones Drew himself actually lost a game in his own fantasy league. MJD states, “That would have had me at 6-4 at the top of my league. It might cost me, but I trust that my team will step it up these next couple weeks and get us back into contention.”

Whether or not that happens, MJD certainly owes some people, including himself, some extra good performances in the coming weeks to atone for his fantasy sin.

“I’m going to have to, I have to make it up for myself too,” he said, before joking about help for the team avoiding a blackout of a home game for the first time this season. “You should tell those 10,000 that lost that if they come to the games, I will score next time. Fly down to Jacksonville and come to a game.”

If all it takes is a few more fans to get MJD in the end zone, MJD fantasy-owners should do everything in their power to support their stud running back. Something makes me believe that it would actually make a difference. Jones Drew IS that good.
