5 Jobs Tim Tebow Can Have in 10 Years From Now

With Tim Tebow’s illustrious college football career coming to an end, the future for the Gators’ quarterback is up in the air. Because his future can go in so many different directions, I thought it would be cool to see what his life could be like in ten years from now. Here are just five different ideas that I came up with:

1. Starting QB in the NFL – If it was up to Tim Tebow, he would be an NFL QB for many years. Tebow has said that he loves the game of football, and he has enjoyed playing QB since the age of six. With the way he dominated the college football ranks, it would be fitting for Tebow to figure out the NFL game and dominate there also. Many scouts doubt that Tebow’s college success will translate into the NFL game, but if anybody could overcome the odds, it would be him.

2. A position other than QB in the NFL – As was mentioned in number 1, scouts do not project Tebow to be a prototypical NFL QB. However, since he does have a lot of ability as a football player, it is believed that an NFL team will find a role for him even if he does not become a QB. If Tebow dedicates his time to another position, as he did for quarterback, there is no reason to believe that Tebow should not be successful. A position like H-back or Wildcat QB would seem to fit this guy’s style really well.

3. College football coach – If things don’t pan out in the NFL, Tebow might look towards the college game to recapture some old-time success. The college game has been good to him, and he obviously understands the college game a ton. He could be a real assett to a college football program, and if he could somehow communicate his skillset effectively to somebody else, that player could be very dangerous. But of course, just because you were a great player, doesn’t mean you can be a great coach. Just look at a guy like Larry Bird as one example.

4. High school football coach – When Tebow realizes that the college game is a lot harder from the sidelines, he decides to move down a notch to high school football. Even though coaching in high school is a huge regression from starting at QB in the NFL, (Ryan Leaf) at least Tebow can still be a part of the game that he loves so much. Plus, if Tebow became a high school football coach, his team would get a bunch of coverage from the media. And who knows? Maybe there will be a TV show about them. Just because Tebow goes to a smaller scale, it doesn’t mean that his celebrity status will go down as well. He will forever be known as one of the best college players of all-time, and no matter what he does, he will receive a lot of press.

5. Pastor – Following many years of trying to achieve the same success in football as he did in college, Tim Tebow will finally realize that his football days are behind him. Because football is out of the picture, Tebow can now begin to focus on his faith and religion. Based on the way that people gravitate towards him, he decides that becoming a pastor would be a very effective path for him. He could preach about things he believes so strongly in, and he will undoubtedly have a very large audience for which to preach to. If Tebow fails to change the world through his contributions to football, he might be able to change the world on a totally different level in the church.
