After beating the Atlanta Hawks in Atlanta, the Cleveland Cavaliers had to face the Hawks again in the back-end of a home and home at the Q in Cleveland on LeBron James’ birthday. And there were certainly tons of gifts to go around for James and the Cleveland fans. For starters, LeBron James had a season-high 48 points, while also grabbing 10 rebounds and dishing out 6 assists. In addition, the Cavaliers beat the Hawks for the second straight night. And last, but certainly not least, Anderson Varejao delivered the game-winning, off-balance, first-of-his-career, 3-pointer that sent the Hawks into 2010 on a downward note. Of all of those birthday gifts, I am sure the Varejao 3-pointer was the proverbial ”cherry on top” for James.
Below is a picture of Anderson Varejao attempting to give LeBron James a gift. Look how James covers his eyes just like a little kid receiving a special gift. I am sure once ”The King” realized that there was a Varejao 3-pointer inside of that box, he was more than excited. Also, look at Ilgauskas giving Varejao the stare-down. You could have gotten him a gift too, Z, nobody stopped you.
Also below, there is a recap of the game between the Hawks and Cavs. Enjoy. And happy birthday LeBron!
