When Glen Davis (formerly known as Big Baby) walked into the New Orleans Saints victory parade, there was an enormous ovation. Of course, Davis was a member of LSU’s basketball team back when he was in college, so the hometown fans gave him some love. Davis’ Head Coach, Doc Rivers, had some other thoughts about the ovation: (Quote Via Celtics Town)
“Yeah, well, they thought he was a float. Sorry, I couldn’t resist,” Doc Rivers joked.
Davis, though, did not see that as a joke. In fact, Rivers’ ”joking words” caused Davis to stop eating altogether. Since Rivers made the “float” remark about 2 hours ago, Glen Davis has not eaten a morsel of food. 2 whole hours! I don’t know about you, but I know I am concerned about this lack of food intake by the big guy.
The last I heard, Davis was napping for the last 2 hours, and not once did he wake up to get something to eat. This story is truly remarkable, and there will be updates to keep you posted on his eating habits. When, or IF, that first bit of food hits his tongue, you will be the first to know. This is truly a sad day for Glen Davis fans everywhere.
Please, Glen, just eat!
