Formerly synonymous with brilliance on the course and a perfect life off it, Tiger Woods has had to adjust to being seen as a serial cheat as well as a golfer whose best days are firmly behind him.
This change has been reinforced by the fact that Tiger has failed to qualify for the USPGA Tour finale, taking place in Atlanta after finishing a miserable (for Tiger) 42ndin the FedEx Cup play-off standings, 12 places below the minimum position required to earn a chance to compete against the best on the US tour.
With this in mind, Ryder cup 2010 betting pundits note that it is important for Tiger Woods to use the next two weeks to regain his focus and determination to succeed at the game he once played at a level that many believe will never be matched.
If he can complete the full circle and return to this amazing form, Woods will perhaps earn a level of respect from experts and pundits that has been lacking recently and, with golf’s most high-profile event, the Ryder Cup, soon to begin at Celtic Manor, he has the perfect opportunity to show the golfing world that he is capable of not only returning to his former golfing self, but also that he can be a member of a team that can overcome the odds and keep hold of a trophy that they are widely expected to lose.
Whilst two weeks is not a long time in which to regain form, it is long enough for Tiger to give himself the opportunity to start proving the Ryder cup 2010 odds wrong and to put right some of the troubles that have been dogging both his personal and professional life for the past year.
